Coping with loss (Bereavement, Separation etc)
Counselling can help you cope with grief and mourning following the death of loved ones, or with major life changes that trigger feelings of grief (e.g., separation, divorce).
Everyone experiences and expresses grief in their own way, you may feel that you have withdrawn from friends and family and feel helpless, lonely and angry.
Very often people have to deal with practical issues of survival or have to be the strong one and hold the family together, and it may be months or even years before you experience the grief from your loss.Counselling can help you work through your grief whether it’s recent or from the past.
Relationship & Family Difficulties
Many people, once they have realised that their relationship is in trouble, wish or hope that the problems will just go away on their own. However, research shows that troubled relationships may only get worse.
Difficulties in managing situations within the broader family unit can also cause undue stress. In counselling you can talk through these issues and work out the best way of managing your problems.
